Trade Trip to Central America

The photos below are from the US Dry Bean Council trade mission to Central America in December 2013.  We visited importers, exporters, processors and traders in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and El Salvador.  The council supports trade missions like this one every year to many regios of the world.  Please contact me if you would like more information on how to participate!

Grower Meeting Success!

 Stateline is about halfway through our scheduled grower meetings and we have presented to over 150 potential and current growers to date through 8 meetings!  We appreciate all of you coming out to hear what we have to say when it comes to dry bean markets & production as well as a field pea division update & production info.  If you haven't been able to make it to the meetings, you can find some of the handouts HERE.  We hope to see you soon as we make our way to Burlington, CO and Grant, NE next week for some workshops and conferences.

Dry Bean Direct Harvest Meeting - Grant, NE

Tare Awards - 2013

Each year at our Annual Meeting we give out awards to the Growers who bring us the cleanest beans at harvest.  Historically there has been a category for Pintos and one for Great Northerns.  This year, of course, we added the Field Pea category.  Below are the winners for 2013!  If you were not present at the meeting to claim your award, please stop by the Gering Office to pick it up!
